This sets how much the cardiac unit tells you about the kill. You can wipe progress and start over with newgame at any time, or use change difficulty at the top of the screen.

DEFAULT

You'll see the full list of conditions the kill needs to satisfy. The unit briefs you on exactly what counts as a natural decline — your job is to engineer it.

HARD

You'll see only the two top-line objectives — stop the heart, don't get caught. The rules of the kill are hidden in the docs on each node, and you have to work them out yourself. Proper detective work.
